As a New Year begins, has anything really changed? The negatives and positives surrounding our lives continue as before. But personal improvement always happens when I get closer to God. If you want 2021 to be a better year for you—then seek to have a real encounter with a Holy God.

“Jesus loves me, this I know” is one of the first songs a child hears in the church nursery. Understanding the connection between God’s love and Jesus is foundational to all Christian theology. “For God so loved the world that He gave….” So remember that Christmas is primarily about God’s great gift of love.

A retired couple were very concerned about the Cold War and researched to find the safest place to live in case of a nuclear war. They decided on the Falkland Islands and moved there. Then in 1982 Argentina invaded trying to get control of the islands from Great Britain. Peace is not found in a location. Peace is realized only through Jesus.
