October 26, 2025 Bulletin

Welcome

Welcome to Brazil Naz. It is our sincere hope that you feel God's presence in our services and Christ's love in our people.

Information about the church, our ministries, upcoming events, and more can be found at brazilnaz.com.

We’d also love the opportunity to get to know you better. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a Christian your whole life, we want to be by your side along your spiritual journey. Please complete a Connection Form so we can keep in touch.

For our families with children

If you have children, we have several offerings for all ages.

On Sunday mornings, volunteers are available in the nursery for children up to age 3. A room is available for nursing mothers, too. Both rooms are located next to the Sanctuary near the west entrance.

Children ages 3-5 who are potty-trained can attend Wee Worship in the northeast classroom. Wee Worship offers playtime and learning activities.

Children in school up to age 12 can attend Children's Church. Children's Church offers lessons that reinforce Biblical values and principles. Children's Church is in the room next to the Library.

Once a month, we have a Family Sunday when children stay in the sanctuary with their family.

ONU Ambassador Sunday

On November 9 we will welcome David and Isaiah to our services.  They are students at Olivet Nazarene University, studying to be in some type of ministry. Isaiah will join the praise team in some way and David will bring the morning message. Come and support these future leaders with your presence and encouragement!

Thank You from Pastor and Debbie

What an awesome privilege it is to minister to such a great group of friends and fellow workers in the kingdom of God! A big THANKS goes those involved in surprising us with a beautifully decorated “goodie bucket” last Sunday. The bucket was loaded with lots of love: a loaf of Amish cinnamon bread, pumpkin chocolate chip mini muffins, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel chews, caramel apple chews, Twix minis, snickers minis, 2 salted nut rolls, 3 bags of popcorn, dry roasted peanuts, candy corn/peanut mix, nutter butter bites, 2 fall pot holders, 2 fall towels, 2 tin gnomes, and a pumpkin figurine . It also contained gift cards to Cracker Barrel and Dairy Queen. You have spoiled us once again with your thoughtfulness!

Faith Promise

Last Sunday, Brian Ruark had an inspiring story of how God has used him to lead a vibrant ministry in Honduras. We will let you know the total pledged to help fund missionary work in the Nazarene Church via the World Evangelism Fund next week. If you were not here last week and would like to pledge or contribute to this worthy cause, there are pledge sheets at the Welcome Center. Place your pledge cards and/or offering in the offering boxes in the foyer.

Prayer Station

To show the importance of God in our community, we will be having a prayer station when we pass out candy at the Highway 40 Community Trick or Treat. We will need volunteers to pray for those who stop by to be prayed with. If you would like to help pass out candy or pray for/with others, sign up on the bulletin board. This event happens on October 31, from 5-7pm. Wear a church Hoodie or shirt and we will be more recognizable as a church group.

Thanks so much for all the candy donations! It will be a blessing to pass it out on Friday evening.

This Week’s Message

"Contend for the Faith"

Scripture: Jude 1-4

1 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James,

To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:

2 Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sermon Notes:

1. Warning: __________ people can go bad

2. Metaphors of ______________ influence – 6 of them

3. ____________: Contend earnestly for the faith
