A sample prayer of surrender:
Lord, Jesus,
I surrender everything that I am or I think I control to Your control. From the top of my head to the bottom of my feet, this body belongs to You. Every cent of my money belongs to You. Everything that I buy belongs to You. Every person that I love belongs to You. Please, take control of my life, my relationships, my family, and my friends. Take control of my spending. You decide what I spend Your money for. Take control of my time. You decide what I should do with Your spare time. Control what I watch, what I listen to, what I do on the internet, what I post on social media. Please take control of my thoughts. Take control of my attitudes. You decide how I should think and feel. Please heal my grudges and hurts. Lord, I give you my bad habits and addictions. I want my body to be Your temple. I surrender everything to You! I no longer want to be a slave to sin, I want to become a slave to righteousness. Make me clean, pure and holy. Make me become like You. Please!
In Jesus name, Amen.
