To share the truth and love of Jesus...

For the second Sunday of Lent we will look at the passage where Jesus confronted the leaders of His day and called out for Jerusalem to come under the loving embrace of His wings. And He did these things while walking the path that would soon lead Him to the cross. What are you doing to share the truth and love of Jesus to those around you? Think about it.

For God So Loved...

During the Lenten season this year, we are going to preach a series offered by our denomination entitled “For God So Loved.” The first Sunday’s focus is on Jesus being tempted in the wilderness. Do you ever feel like you are out in the wilderness? Well, God has resources for you even in the wilderness times. See you this Sunday!

Another Christ-like Example

Sometimes when we read the Bible we might be tempted to think of those men and women as extraordinary, or special people. This Sunday we will look at an ordinary person whom Paul felt was worthy of honor because of his Christ-like example. If he could live like Jesus, shouldn’t we also live like Jesus?

The Impact of Ministry

How does ministry effect the pastor? Many people in the pews don’t grasp the perspective of the pulpit. Paul wrote that the burden and joy of ministry had a great impact on his life. Join us this Sunday as we look at how the ministry personally impacted this missionary pastor. God bless you!

Supporting the next generation...

It is a pastoral concern of mine that there are so few young men and women going into pastoral ministry. In 2015 there were only 69 USA Nazarene lead pastors under the age of 30, but there were 816 lead pastors over the age of 65. This Sunday we have an opportunity to listen to a young man preach who is currently attending Olivet and plans to become a pastor. I hope you will support him through your prayers and encouragement.

I'll have one with...

Sometimes we prefer our hamburgers made special: drop the onions and add pickles. Last week we preached on the two things that Paul wrote Christians should leave off their life burger. This week we will look at a couple of important ingredients Paul wrote Christians should add. Are you ready to grow as a Christian?

Buzz Buzz

Have you ever come upon a hive of bees, heard the buzzing, and realized you were in for a rough time? Paul warned his readers at Philippi to stay away from the buzzing. Good advice! Come this Sunday and hear what Paul was writing about. Buzz. Buzz.

Continuing Paul's Message

With Advent and Christmas a fresh memory, we will now return to Paul’s letter to the Philippians. This Sunday’s admonition is so practical, but also so necessary. What percentage of the Christian life is God’s work, and what percentage is our work? Paul’s answer may surprise you. Come Sunday and find out.
